* Crochet Success! *

So - I have, after some perseverance and patience, just about got the hang of crochet (or doing the 'lines' at least!) Here is my latest triumph:

Not much to look at, I know, but this makes me very happy! I'm now dreaming up all the things I can make...If you squint your eyes just imagine what this little patch of crochet could become...

...a blanket for Berta...

...a kind of hat for Bert......or a winter jacket for Hobbes!

He seemed very pleased with the idea!

I hope you've had some successes this week too!

Meet Baby Owl!

Here's my new baby owl, Little Peep:

She is Owly 'the doorstop's' baby - they live by the front door on a log...

...but today we had a special photo shoot in the garden to celebrate her joining the family!

Here is a little sketch of Little Peep before I made her - I hoping to make more baby owls to sit on the log!

'Peep, peep!' says Little Peep.

While I was taking photos in the garden, I became aware of my roses and how beautiful they look - here are some pictures of them...

A Lavender Bear for Emma

For Emma's special birthday, I made her a mini 'Bert Bear' filled with lavender from my garden and gave him extra long ears! He likes surprising people by hiding in a cake tin...

The moment that Lavender Bear surprised Emma!

Owly Door Stop

I made an Owly door stop last weekend and have only just found time to post up some snaps of her!

Even though she is a door stop, we're great friends!

Owly was tired after a nights hooting with her friends...

This is where she lives and one day, coming home from work I found her speaking!*
*I think husband Jon helped Owly out here.

I'm off to Uganda for a week with work, but Jon has been invited to do a special guest Friday Treat Time post while I'm away!

See you soon!

Fun and Patchwork at the V&A

We had a jolly time at the 'Stitched Up' Friday Late event at the V&A this Friday! We all learnt how to make little patchwork hexagons, and the lovely ladies were giving away beautiful fabrics for us to use! Here is my first ever patch work flower:

Which is now on a little cushion:

And here is my favourite piece of fabric I got from the V&A - I'm planning to put this in an embroidery hoop frame:

And here is a record of us at the V&A making stuff (and laughing lots):

Introducing...Bunny Bear (and a walk in the forest)

I've finally made my new Bunny Bear...and here she is:

Bunny Bear and I decided to walk in the forest with the Bluebells, and husband Jon said he'd take our photos!

As you can see, I like to copy Bunny Bear's look - she is pretty cool.

Bert and Bunny rode in my bag when they got tired...
We enjoyed sitting and looking at the trees...

We even saw a 'real' bunny - can you spot him?
Bunny Bear loves her heart button tail!

...And she also loves Bert! They are great friends.

Bert and I are still great friends too...

Bunny Bear, Bert, Jon and I had lots of adventures in the Bluebell Forest...

...and at the end, we met a real life Cheshire Cat!

Bunny Bear is excited about having more adventures - she'd love it if you could think of a great name for her!
