I made this for my friend, Anna, to thank her for all the little vintage gifts she buys me! I'm hoping to make more for my friends and make felt alphabet names!

Creating Magical Worlds
These pictures are SO inspiring for me - I want to create magical worlds for children through storytelling & illustrations by using simple everything things - because the ordinary isn't ordinary at all when you look at it closely...

Concerning Buttons...
This book, given to me by friend Charlotte has inspired a few of my button makes - its button-tastic!

Here are some of my fabric embroidery hoops decorated with...buttons!

Button jewelery - I love wearing buttons and have made button earrings, badges, necklaces and rings - I try not to wear them ALL at the same time...
Little heart earrings - sweet.

Chunky red button necklace - great with red nail varnish...

Button badges - good for coats, bags, blouses...most things really!

Button rings - just great:

Buttons look good anywhere...
So I HEART buttons - but I'm not as into buttons as the terrible belle-dame in Coraline - that's when button obsession goes a bit wrong... (beautiful film though - check out the dark but delightful website!)

Bert Bear mets Amber
My latest creation, Bert Bear met his first small person today - Amber was very excited and Bert was a bit scared...
Bert Bear enjoyed his cuddle and taking part in Amber's magic show...
..but wasn't sure about the game of 'catch'.
Bert Bear is looking forward to meeting more small friends!

Bert Bear Adventures - Springtime
'Hello!' says Bert Bear.

Today is a beautiful Spring day, and Bert Bear is outside with the violets, reading Keats.

He likes the cover of his Keats poetry book because its old and magical looking.

'A thing of beauty is a joy forever... I wonder if Keats meant me?' ponders Bert Bear.

'Oh, it's wonderful to cuddle the primroses...

...And bask in the sunshine with a sweet smelling flower' sighs Bert.

Bert Bear has had a very happy spring day!

Friday Treat Time!
Two treats as its Good Friday today!
Firstly, I'd like to introduce you to an amazing singer from New York, 'My Brightest Diamond' - having seen her live I can truly say she has an incredible voice and a fantastic imagination!
Enjoy!
And another treat - for all of you who read Anne of Green Gables as a child - there is a podcast of the story released on BBC7 this Monday! Nothing better than curling up with a frothy hot choc and listening to a wonderful story on a Bank Holiday Monday...
