Firstly, an apology for neglecting my blog - I have been poorly since I last posted and haven't been able to do much crafting or making :(
But this little vid should cheer us up - the latest OK GO! music video - as always - brilliant!
(Check out the little goose friend that keeps appearing!)
Happy Friday - and here's to being healthy and happy this summer!

Friday Treat Time!
Today I've gone for a retro childhood memory theme, and found just a few of my favourite cartoon intros! Watch these and see how easy it is to remember the theme tune and the words!

Some Lovely Vintage Things
Thanks to my fab friend, Anna, I have some *lovely vintage things* that I have been able to enjoy during my time of being 'poorly'.
Using some of the Elderflower Cordial I made recently, I made some Elderflower Sparkling jelly - and it looked fabulous in my vintage jelly mould (and tasted pretty good too!)
And Anna gave me this recently to cheer me up because I'm not well:
Anna also brought me to the attention of a fab vintage music festival and fair type thing: Vintage at Goodwood! Check out a very trendy website and get excited about the summer and vintage stuff *here*!

Sunday Treats & Doodles
Happy Sunny Sunday! Just some things I enjoyed today, whilst wrapped in my blanket (being poorly):
1. Doodling my new character, Pussy Cat Bleu

2. Enjoying homemade and home grown things:

2. a) Elderflower Champagne - surprisingly scrumptious! Jon and I had a 'pre-taster' before we shared it out with friends in case it tasted nasty! Will be taking some bottles to a certain someone's cocktail party later this week!!
2 b) Strawbs - this pretty little bowlful was what I picked this morning - and still lots more to come!
3. Reading 'Paddington Bear' with Bert

Hope you had a Happy Sunny Sunday too!

Pussy Cat Bleu & Friday Treat Time
I LOVE cats, so I have made my very own one: meet Pussy Cat Bleu!

She is a french cat of a loving disposition - you can see this by looking into her big brown eyes and by the flutter of her pretty eyelashes!
She is also keen on floriculture...

...and sitting in teacups.

Of course, many people want to be a cat - they are super cool, calm in (most) situations and very refined! So here is my Friday Treat: 'Everybody wants to be a Cat' from the Disney film: The Aristocats!
Happy Friday!

Meet Baby Owl!
Here's my new baby owl, Little Peep:
She is Owly 'the doorstop's' baby - they live by the front door on a log...
...but today we had a special photo shoot in the garden to celebrate her joining the family!

Here is a little sketch of Little Peep before I made her - I hoping to make more baby owls to sit on the log!

'Peep, peep!' says Little Peep.

While I was taking photos in the garden, I became aware of my roses and how beautiful they look - here are some pictures of them...

Elderflower Update!
Well, my Elderflower Cordial is now ready, squeezed and poured into little bottles, complete with a handmade 'Rosi Bee' label!

I had a lovely hot drink of Elderflower Cordial, lemon and a bit of sugar this morning (its really good for colds and I have a 'suspicious beginning' of one) sitting in the sun, writing my to-do list - it tasted perfeck! (Phew!)

The Elderflower Champagne is still waiting to be opened...
...with the date firmly marked in our kitchen!

Will update when they are opened (hopefully with a few people to share it with!)

Friday Treat Time!
Today I want to share a little bit of one of my favourite ever films, 'Totoro'!
To help with the overcoming the gloom of such a rainy day like today, just imagine meeting Totoro and teaching him how to use an umbrella (and him jumping up and down!)

Elderflower Champagne Making!
As sister Sue has a huge Elderflower tree in her garden we thought we'd have a go at making Elderflower Champagne! Photo credits to Charlotte Williams, who specialises in old looking photos!
All we needed was:
20 Elderflower heads...

...minus the stalks - just the flowers are needed!

Four lemons and a bag of caster sugar - as beautifully demonstrated by Sue...

Lots of boiling water, 4 tsp of white white vinegar, a bucket, jay cloths (to drain the flowers and lemons into a clear champagne liquid) and a tea towel to cover the bucket...

(Getting flowers in your hair is optional!)
After leaving it for a day, the champagne has now been poured into 8 bottles for 10 days! We found the recipe here - and are having a go at making the cordial as well!
Can't wait to taste it! Jon and I are thinking of having a little summer soiree to share our 4 bottles...

A Lavender Bear for Emma
For Emma's special birthday, I made her a mini 'Bert Bear' filled with lavender from my garden and gave him extra long ears! He likes surprising people by hiding in a cake tin...

The moment that Lavender Bear surprised Emma!
